Problem

If Hyper-Q reports the error message DTM8193: Syntax error before:'EOL', it indicates that the definition of a macro or stored procedure is truncated and needs to be refreshed. 

Cause

One or more character values or byte strings were truncated because they exceeded the defined limits for a column.

Solution

To solve this problem:

1. Confirm this issue by running the SHOW MACRO or SHOW PROCEDURE command on the object in question.
2. Retrieve the original object definition from Teradata and recreate it using Hyper-Q on the destination cloud data warehouse.
